I started writing a journal when I was in class 6th—that means in 2007. I began with a
physical journal and continued writing in a diary for 15 years. But I could never get more
than a few words out and rarely wrote. Because of that, all those unwritten days' memories
were lost.
So, I created DD-DigitalDiary—a Photo Journaling app that simplifies the
journaling process.
How does it work?
- Set up DD-DigitalDiary – Open the app, give notification access, select
a storage folder, give camera access, and then click a picture. If you want details on
how to get started, here is a link that explains it in great detail:
How do I use DD-DigitalDiary
- Photo Journaling – Even on days I don’t feel like writing, I can just
click pictures. A picture says a hundred words. And if I feel like adding more, I use
images/google Keyboard’s text-to-speech.
- Daily Journaling Simplified – When the notification comes, just tap it
to click an image. And done! That’s your journal for the day. You don’t need words to
tell a story—a picture tells a thousand words.
- Quick Actions for Instant Journaling – Later in the day, if I want to
capture more moments, I use QuickActions. Just long-press the app icon for an instant
notification, then click a picture. That’s journaling—effortless and quick.
- Add Text if You Want – If you find time to write, just tap below the
image and start typing. To make it even simpler, use images/google Keyboard’s text-to-speech
function—just tap the mic and start speaking, and it will type for you automatically.
I believe this is how journaling should begin—not with a physical journal, but with DD-DigitalDiary.
